Your tour will commence with an arranged pick-up at a location of your convenience in Delhi to explore the capital of India in the comfort of a clean, private and air-conditioned car. Admire the gorgeous monuments of Old Delhi, like Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque built by Mughal ruler Shah Jahan in 1656 at the height of his power. You will also explore the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, which is famous for its ornate carvings depicting Hindu deities. Admire the onion shaped domes of the Red Fort opposite the mosque, right before you take of your shoes to enter. See the memorial for Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat. Then drive past the government buildings of New Delhi such as Rashtrapati Bhavan (presidents’ house) and Sansad Bhawan (Parliament House). Be amazed by the Qutub Minar, built by Allauddin Khilji in the 13th century. Look closely as it towers up 5 levels at 73 meters, each distinguished by a balcony. Next go to Humayun’s Tomb on Mathura road. Built-in the mid-16th century by Haji Begum, wife of the second Mughal Emperor, the tomb displays Mughal Characteristics of High arches and double domes and is considered to be the forerunner of the Taj Mahal.
